Bealer, Lena C. (1892 - 1983)
Lena C. Bealer, 91, of Chili, Clark County, died on Tuesday
morning, July 12, 1983, at Marshfield Convalescent Center.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Friday, July 15, 1983, at United
Methodist Church, Chili. Officiating was Rev. Frank Hinebaugh. Mrs.
Helen Grimm was organist.
Burial was in Yolo Cemetery, Town of Fremont, with Dale, Lavern,
Edwin and Jerrold Meissner and Gary and David Gluch, all
great-nephews, serving as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal,
handled arrangements.
Lena Grobe was born to Herman and Ernestine Grobe on June 19, 1892,
at Germany. She received her education in the Chili area.
On August 8, 1911, she and William Bealer were married at Chili.
They farmed in the Town of Fremont. After his death in 1964, she
resided with her sister, Mrs. Bertha Meissner, until entering the
nursing home in Sept. 1978.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Chili and of the
Forestside Homemakers.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Bertha Meissner of Chili and one
brother, Edwin Grobe of Chili.
Preceding her in death besides her husband and parents were one
brother, August Grobe two sisters, Minnie Garbisch and Mary Dow and
two half-brothers, Fred and Otto Frank.
